Hospital General de Saltillo paid an outside supplier for its medical air: a gas contract and tank rental, month after month, without the facility owning anything. In 2026, through the Coahuila Health Ministry, it began producing its own medical grade air on site.
What was installed
Duplex medical grade air generator, 10 HP. 80 CFM (40 × 2) at 100 PSIG, Class 0 air per ISO 8573-1, 1,000-litre tank, dryers, filtration train, PLC control and dew point and carbon monoxide monitoring.
What changed for the hospital
- The air is produced on site, not rented.
- Certified quality, verifiable at the facility itself.
- Controlled cost, with no monthly third-party fee.
- The equipment becomes an asset of the facility.
How the saving is calculated
The saving comes from what the facility was already paying for its gas contract and tank rental: at least MXN $540,000 per month, MXN $6.48 million a year. Every hospital starts from its own current contract and actual demand; the technical visit is free of charge.
